Dr. Michael Vann II
Dr. Michael Vann is a native of Trussville, Alabama. After graduating college with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1998, he attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry and graduated in 2003 with a D.M.D degree. After finishing dental school, he chose to spend a couple of years treating children in an underserved area, which he really enjoyed and gained a lot of experience. He returned to The Children’s Hospital of Alabama/University of Alabama at Birmingham to complete his education with a residency in pediatric dentistry and received his certificate. While at the Children’s Hospital of Alabama, Dr. Vann gained a lot of experience with trauma, dental treatment in the operating room, treatment of special needs, treatment of children who were extremely fearful and full mouth pediatric dental rehabilitation. He is proud to be associated and have graduated from a world-renowned pediatric dental program. In March of 2011, Dr. Vann finally completed his lifelong professional dreams and returned home to Trussville to begin his own private practice.
Dr. Vann is an active member in a number of dental organizations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, the American Dental Association, and the Alabama Dental Association. He is also a member of local civic groups, like the Trussville Chamber of Commerce.
When not taking care of your child, Dr. Vann enjoys spending time with his family, flyfishing, traveling, cooking, farming and reading. He and his wife, Cheryl, have two children, Laken and Lucy.
Dr. Jerry Parker
Dr. Jerry Parker is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. He was Dr. Vann’s pediatric dentist and has provided care to local children in the area for multiple generations. Dr. Parker was one of the first Pediatric Dentist, not only in our area, but in the Southeast. Over Dr. Parker’s long career, he has provided care to many children, taught future pediatric dentists and mentored many dentists in the area.
Dr. Parker is a recognized and respected member of the local and national dental community. He has been a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentist, the American Dental Association and the Alabama Dental Association for over 40 years.
When not taking care of your child, Dr. Parker enjoys spending time with his family, traveling and working on antique sports cars.
